Summary: Welcome to SRI CUMIN SEEDS CATERING SERVICES at Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute of Technology (KIT), Coimbatore. By using this online ordering platform to browse dishes, place meal orders, process payments, or book bulk catering, you agree to comply with the terms outlined below.

1. Acceptance of Terms & Campus Scope

This digital platform is operated by SRI CUMIN SEEDS CATERING SERVICES for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and authorized visitors of Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute of Technology (KIT), Coimbatore. By accessing or using any part of this website (kitcbecanteen.online), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our associated policies.

If you do not agree with any provision of these terms, please refrain from using our online portal or placing food orders through it.

2. User Account & Authentication

  • Registration: To place an order, you must register using an authentic name, email address, and 10-digit mobile number, or authenticate securely via Google Sign-In.
  • Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials (passwords, OTPs, or active session tokens). All orders placed from your account are deemed authorized by you.
  • Accurate Details: You agree to provide accurate and verifiable phone numbers. Phone numbers are utilized to notify you of order status and counter delivery.

3. Menu, Pricing & Food Availability

  • Pricing: All food item prices are listed in Indian Rupees (₹) and include all applicable catering and state taxes. Prices may vary depending on daily specials or seasonal ingredients.
  • Real-Time Stock: Menu availability is tracked dynamically. In rare instances where an item becomes unavailable due to unexpected kitchen rush after an order is accepted, you will be notified promptly and offered a substitution or instant refund.
  • Meal Timings: Breakfast, lunch, and snack menus are served according to official campus canteen schedules. Orders must be placed during designated service windows.

4. Payments & Transaction Security

We provide a seamless cashless ordering experience:

  • All online transactions are securely encrypted and processed via RBI-authorized payment gateways including Zoho Payments, supporting UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM), Debit/Credit Cards, and Net Banking.
  • An order is confirmed and queued in the kitchen only after successful payment capture. Unpaid or pending orders are automatically purged and not prepared.
  • We do not store or process sensitive banking PINs, OTPs, or CVV codes on our servers.

5. Digital Counter Tokens & Meal Pickup

  • Upon payment confirmation, a unique Digital Token / QR Code is generated for your order and stored under your My Orders section.
  • To pick up your meal at the canteen counter, present your digital QR code on your mobile device to the canteen counter operator for instant scanning.
  • Freshness & Pickup Window: Meals are freshly cooked and kept warm. You are expected to pick up your food within 30 minutes of placing the order. The canteen is not liable for cold food resulting from delayed pickups.

6. Bulk Event & Symposium Catering

  • Bulk catering requests for department conferences, workshops, sports events, and symposiums must be booked with sufficient advance notice (minimum 24 to 48 hours).
  • Bulk order quantities and custom requests are subject to confirmation by the catering coordinator.
  • Cancellations or headcount adjustments for bulk catering must be communicated directly to the catering manager before food preparation commences.

7. Prohibited Conduct

Users agree NOT to:

  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to place fraudulent orders or disrupt website operations.
  • Share or screenshot other students' digital QR tokens to claim meals without authorization.
  • Engage in abusive or disrespectful behavior towards canteen cooking and counter service personnel.
  • Initiate unjustified payment chargebacks for meals that have already been prepared and served.

8. Food Allergens & Dietary Advisory

While we observe strict hygiene and food safety standards, our kitchen handles ingredients containing nuts, dairy, mustard, cumin, gluten, and eggs. Patrons with severe dietary allergies are strongly advised to verify ingredients directly with the counter manager before consuming food.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal dispute arising under this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.

10. Modifications to Terms

SRI CUMIN SEEDS CATERING SERVICES reserves the right to revise or amend these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect regulatory requirements, menu updates, or platform improvements. Continued use of the platform after modifications implies your acceptance of the revised terms.
